Bob,
Our
group is the best, because it's about
business first. There are lots of
decision makers in the group and everyone
is there to grow with each other not
just wait for a handout, like I have
seen so many times in other groups.
I have been a member of PRO Group
since late 2005. Since starting with
PRO group I have tracked the value
of my time investment for my company.
In
2005, I received $0 from PRO where
I started in October of 2005.
In
2006, I received $58,000 in business,
referrals and opportunities from PRO
members or because of my involvement
in PRO.
In
2007, I was able to garner $51,000
from my PRO involvement through referrals
and indirect or direct leads.
In
the first part of 2008, I have had
$24,500 of revenue generated from
my PRO friends and family.
I
included 2005 for several reasons.
First, to help people understand that
you get out of the group what you
put into it. When I first joined,
I didn't meet with people outside
the group or get involved in helping
the group hold the meetings. Second,
it doesn't happen overnight. People
need to trust you but the more a member
attends and gets involved the better
chance they have in getting business
out of the group. Third, use the business
of the week to really give people
an understand of what you cannot say
in a 30 second sound bite. Once, I
started doing the things above, I
started to see business from PRO.
I
understand that it's a tough economic
environment but the investment versus
reward is hard to argue when it comes
to PRO.
